Terms of use & terms of sale.

These terms cover using this website and buying anything on it — memberships, day passes, meeting rooms, add-ons and space hire.

Who we are

This website and the space are operated by Burbspace Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12383136, at Unit 12 Green Park, Coedcae Lane Industrial Estate, Pontyclun, CF72 9GP. You can reach us at hello@burbspace.com. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Burbspace Limited, and "you" means the person using the site or buying from us.

2

Using this website

You may use this site to read about the space, check availability and buy the things we sell. Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, access other people's accounts, scrape it at a volume that affects other users, or use it for anything unlawful. The text, photographs, logos and layout are ours or licensed to us; you may not reproduce them commercially without permission.

We try to keep availability, prices and descriptions accurate and up to date, but we do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. If an obvious pricing error slips through, we will contact you before taking payment rather than hold you to it.

If you create an account, keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them.

What we sell

We sell four kinds of thing, and it matters which one you are buying:

  • Memberships — Roamer, Local, Resident and Team Room. A recurring right to use the space on the terms of your plan, billed monthly or annually.
  • Add-ons — lockers, gym access, storage, a 24/7 door fob, parcel receipt and hold, connectivity. Recurring monthly alongside a membership.
  • One-off purchases — day passes, 5-Day Books, meeting room half and full days, evening and weekend hire, content half days, casual gym hours.
  • Space hire — the building or a room for a defined block of time, sometimes quoted individually.

What each plan includes is set out on the membership and add-ons pages. Included allowances, such as day passes or meeting hours, run per calendar month and do not roll over.

We are a workspace, not an address service. We do not provide a registered office, business address, correspondence address or mail forwarding, and our address must not be given to Companies House, HMRC, a bank or any other party as your business address.

4

Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling. The price shown at checkout is the total amount you pay for that item, inclusive of any VAT that applies to it. We will not add anything on top at the point of payment, and there is no booking fee.

We may change our prices. For anything you have already bought, the price you paid stands. For recurring memberships and add-ons, we will give you at least 30 days' written notice before a price change takes effect, and annual members are held at their rate until their renewal date.

5

Payment

Card payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe handles it. Recurring memberships and add-ons are charged automatically on your renewal date using the card you saved, until you cancel.

You can see your plan, renewal date, invoices and receipts, and update your card, in your member dashboard. If a payment fails we will retry it and email you; if it keeps failing we may suspend access until it is settled.

Annual memberships are charged as eleven months for twelve — you pay for eleven and get the twelfth.

6

Cancelling a membership

Monthly plans. One calendar month's written notice, by email to hello@burbspace.com or through your dashboard. Notice runs to the end of the following calendar month, and that final month is payable.

Annual plans. Annual fees are paid up front for the year and are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. You can choose not to renew at the end of the year.

We can end a membership too — for non-payment, or for behaviour that makes the space unworkable for other members. Where we do so for non-payment we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

7

Bookings, passes and cancelling them

Day passes and meeting rooms are booked through the calendar on this site, and availability shown there is live. You can cancel or move a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts; inside 24 hours the booking is charged and any allowance used is not returned.

Prepaid 5-Day Books are valid for six months from purchase. Included monthly allowances have no cash value and are not refundable or transferable.

If we have to close or move your booking — a fault, a power cut, something outside our control — we will offer you an alternative slot or a refund of what you paid for it.

8

Your 14-day right to cancel

Because you buy online without meeting us first, if you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to change your mind and cancel, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You do not need to give a reason. Email hello@burbspace.com and we will confirm.

Two things affect that right, and we want them stated plainly rather than buried:

  • If you ask us to start straight away — which is what you are doing when you book a date inside the next 14 days, or start using the space — and you then cancel within the 14 days, you must pay a fair, proportionate amount for what you actually used. We will refund the rest.
  • Bookings for a specific date or period — a meeting room on a named day, an evening hire, a shoot day — are accommodation and leisure services for a specified date, which is one of the categories the 14-day right does not cover. The 24-hour cancellation window in clause 7 applies to those instead, and it is usually more generous.

Where a refund is due we make it to your original payment method within 14 days of agreeing it.

9

The Membership & Services Agreement

Memberships are also governed by our Membership & Services Agreement (current reference BS-MSA-v2), which you sign in your dashboard after paying and before your membership activates. It covers house rules, access, guests, insurance, gym use, liability and data. We have not repeated it here.

Read the full Membership & Services Agreement (PDF).

If the Agreement and these terms ever contradict each other on membership, the Agreement wins.

10

Our responsibility to you

We will provide the space and services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Beyond that, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect losses, and we are not responsible for your belongings or equipment left in the building — please insure your own kit. Members and hirers bringing clients in, and personal trainers in particular, must hold their own public liability insurance.

11

If something goes wrong

Tell us. Email hello@burbspace.com with what happened and what you would like us to do about it, or raise it through support. We will acknowledge within 3 working days and give you a considered answer within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it between us, you keep every right you have in law, including going to court.

If a card payment is the problem, your card issuer's chargeback process is also open to you — though we would rather you gave us the chance to fix it first.

12

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy is the one that applies to that purchase, and for recurring memberships we will give you notice of any material change. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

How we handle your personal data is set out separately in our privacy notice.
